life [11 Nov 2008|01:19pm] bealeave [ mood | accomplished ] Yesterday was interesting. It started out rather dull. I tried helping my husband rake the yard which was a little difficult with our broken taped rake. Then I ended up searching for a power cord for our daughter. Knowing how vital computers are to college these days, we drove the old broken cord down to Ma because our daughter found out it was still covered under warantee. Go Dell with a 2 year warantee. We had 2 and a half hours for hubby to shower and get to the school before the computer place closed. We made it with a half hour to spare. Thankfully traffic was light. Since our daughter only had time to exchange her cord and dash back to work, we went to subway to get her supper. After delivering that, we went in search of LLBean. I knew there was one in Burlington, Ma which was on our route home. I thought it was in the mall. It wasn't, but we got directions from the kiosk in the mall. He exchanged a flashlight and pants, and he ended up with $20 leftover. They didn't have anymore of the style of pants he had, so he chose a cheaper pair of jeans. We found a Johnny Rocket while we were at the mall. It was totally done in the style of a 50's diner. The food and the service were great, but considering the calories, I'm glad they don't have any restaurans in Maine. After all this, we headed North of our town to buy presale tickets to the upcoming Twilight movie. We are going to the midnight showing with our other daughter and her boyfriend. She wanted us to get the tickets before they sold out. I guess some areas are already sold out, but since they weren't prominently advertised at this cinema, they still had seats. We randomly bought movie popcorn for the drive home. First time we had bought popcorn to go, but apparently it is common. The lady at the theater told us one couple rents movies and gos there just for the popcorn every week. We got home in time for me to catch most of Heroes. Unfortunately I was too late to cacth the special Twilight clip that was supposed to air during the show. All in all an interesting day. Oh yeah I forgot to mention we found gas for 2.07 on the way home. I thought that was great until my Mom emailed me this morning letting me know it was 1.99 at one town in MA. Oh well, at least the price is going down still. I decided to start nanowrimo a couple days ago. I'm up to 1057 words on my fantasy story. Actually I'm working on a series. I'm almost done with the first one, so I started the next story with the online challenge. Even if I don't make the challenge, it will give me a good idea of how many words I write a day. 4 comments|post comment
